The Boulder Theater just booked the Animal Collective -- score!

It’s Saturday — and that means that a lot of new shows are starting to go on sale.

Here’s some of the best Club Notes picks for tickets you definitely want to score:

The Boulder Theater new shows:

The Boulder Theater just announced that turntable pros The X-Ecutioners will be hitting the venue on March 13. Tickets are $25.

Charlie Hunter will also be coming to the theater for a Feb. 28 date. Tickets for the show are going for $21.50-$27.50.

And here’s the big Boulder Theater news — the venue just announced a show with modern popsters Animal Collective for June 2. The band’s starting to hit big, so you might want to buy your $25 tix now!

The Fox Theatre also landed some cool new shows.

G. Love and Special Sauce will bring their special brand of blues to the Fox March 2.  Tickets are $25.

It’s been awhile since Howie Day’s played the Fox, but the singer/songwriter will “collide” into Boulder on March 6. Tix are $20.

The Fox also booked singer/songwriter Matt Wertz for March 7. Tickets are $15.

You’re SOL if you’re looking for tickets to the Fox’s April 8 3OH!3 show. It’s already SOLD OUT!!!

In Denver:

Tix just went on sale for the March 24 show with Brian Jonestown Massacre at the Ogden.

Tix also just went on sale for the quirky Ting Tings. The act plays the Bluebird April 8.

Finally – tix also went on sale for one of the best bands of 2008 — Cold War Kids. The soul-fused rockers are slated to play the Gothic in Denver on April 20.
