Wanda Jackson joined forces with Jack White (The White Stripes, The Raconteurs) and the duo created the new album, “The Party Ain’t Over.”
Jackson has been performing since the 1950′s — and she was the first female rocker to hit the road. We can thank Elvis Presley for that. The performer’s feisty rock tunes are now hitting a younger fanbase, so she asked White to produce her new album.
“The Party Ain’t Over’s” a hit with a new generation of fans, and Jackson’s scoring gigs at SXSW and Bonnaroo.
Friday, Jackson brings her rock show to the Boulder Theater with a full back-up band. The performer changes up her bands, so it should be interesting to see who’s playing Boulder.
Jackson chatted with the Daily about how Elvis got her career going, working with Jack White and her new record. Find out more about this fascinating performer:http://www.coloradodaily.com/ci_17735013?source=most_viewed#axzz1ICiSa98j
