Blink-182 announced at Sunday’s Grammys that the band was back — and then followed that up with an official statement Monday morning that read: “We’re back. We mean really back. Picking up where we left off and then some. We’re in the studio writing and recording a new album and preparing to tour the world again. Friendships have been reformed — we’re 17 years deep in our legacy.”
To top that off, Limp Bizkit announced today that it was back with its original line-up.
That means Fred Durst, Wes Borland, Sam Rivers, John Otto and DJ Lethal are back from an eight-year break in the action !
Limp Bizkit released this statement: “We decided we were more disgusted and bored with the state of heavy popular music than we were with each other. Regardless of where our separate paths have taken us, we recognize there is a powerful and unique energy with this particular group of people, that we have not found anywhere else. That is why Limp Bizkit is back.”
The band is set to kick off a world tour this spring and will be hitting the overseas music fests in Europe. Limp Bizkit is also planning to record a new CD.
In a radio world saturated with the Jonas Brothers and “American Idol” winners — it will be nice to have both these bands back to kick a little musical ass.
