Sarah McLachlan will headline Denver's Lilith Fair date on July 13
Sarah McLachlan decided to revive her Lilith Fair concept this year, and a lot of great acts are going to be hitting various cities in the U.S.
Unfortunately, Denver got totally screwed.
While other major cities are going to see acts like Tegan and Sara, Cat Power, Brandi Carlile, Erykah Badu (the woman of the hour with her racy new video), Norah Jones, Suzanne Vega, Lights, A Fine Frenzy and Grace Potter — Denver’s getting stuck with the country/pop verison of the tour.
McLachlan will headline Denver’s July 13 show at the Comfort Dental Amphiheatre, but the rest of the line-up is geared to a country or pop crowd with Kelly Clarkson (you’ve got to be kidding), Emmylou Harris, Miranda Lambert and Ingrid Michaelson — who’s one of the only artists worth seeing on this date.
So, if you need to buy a present for your mother or grandmother — this is the show for you. The next best thing — see Lilith Fair in another city with a better line-up!
Tix go on sale Sat. for the Denver show –and they’re not cheap! The lawn seats start off at $41.50 and tickets go up to $252. That’s a lovely price for a really bad line-up.
