U2 is searching the country for "dynamic "rock and pop singers
U2 has always been a pretty democratic band. Instead of going for Hollywood or Broadway heavyweights, the Irish rockers will be searching the U.S. for singers to play the leads — Peter Parker, Mary Jane and the “Lead Female Villain– in their upcoming Broadway musical “Spider-Man.”
The main requirement — you have to have a “dynamic” rock and pop voice. Anyone who thinks they’re qualified will be allowed to audition — regardless, of experience.
No auditions are set for Denver, but there will be tryouts in Orlando, NYC, LA, Seattle, Chicago and Austin.
This has got to be better than auditioning for “American Idol.”
