Boulder’s Rose Hill Drive is back in full-force after a 17-month hiatus. The band did play a New Year’s Eve opening slot for Jane’s Addiction up in Aspen, but the group’s been laying low for the past year.
For starters, Rose Hill Drive is now a four-piece band. Yes, you read that right!
Bassist Jacob Sproul switched from playing bass to guitar. That means he’ll be joining his brother Daniel on guitar duties — and that will give Rose Hill Drive the chance to show off some amazing double-edged guitar licks.
Then, the band added local bass pro Jimmy Stofer. The musician’s played with everyone from The Fray to Hello Kavita and he knows his way around the instrument.
The new and improved Rose Hill Drive has been writing new material, so the band’s ready to show off its new line-up and tunes at two Colorado gigs.
On June 9, Rose Hill Drive will rock out the very underground Sundown Saloon. The venue’s located at 1136 Pearl St. in Boulder. Yes, this is a free show.
Then, the band plays The Belly Up in Aspen on June 26. That show will run you $22-$25.
Stay tuned, as this could get interesting.
