Pretty Lights plays CU Aug. 22

The University of Colorado Program Council just announced the headliner for its New Student Welcome Concert — and its Fort Collins producer Pretty Lights. The concert will take place on Farrand Field Aug. 22.

I had a feeling this show was in the pipe-line, but it couldn’t be announced until after Pretty Lights played his July Red Rocks show with STS9.

Pretty Lights’ music is taking off like crazy — and his inventive use of electro beats and hip-hop is going to take this Colorado artist out to the masses. Inotherwords — this will be the next major act to break out of Colorado.

This is going to beĀ  areal treat seeing Pretty Lights play a free night time show on Farrand Field. Plus, you’ll get to check out Boulder-based dance outfit Savoy and co-founder of the Monolith Festival DJ Hot To Death.

Did I say — this is all for free for CU students with their Buff One Card.

Stay tuned
