Paper Bird's getting ready to play two CD release parties this weekend

Colorado band Paper Bird’s become known for its modern folk blends and harmonious vocals.

The local band’s career has been flying high and now Paper Bird’s ready to release its new CD “When the River Took Flight.”

The group has loyal fans in Boulder and Denver, so the band’s throwing a Thursday release party at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art  — and a larger Friday night party at the Gothic in Denver.
