The one great thing about the Colorado music community — you can always count on bands to help out local causes.
The recent Fourmile Canyon fire that took place west of Boulder caused massive destruction and displaced hundreds of residents. That’s why Colorado’s top bands and a special guest group will join forces to help the Boulder Mountain Fire Relief Fund.
That’s right — String Cheese Incident, Yonder Mountain String Band and Big Head Todd and the Monsters will be joined by the members of Phish to play a special 6 p.m. benefit show on Sat. Oct. 9 at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield. That’s the same week Phish plays its three-day run at the venue, so the timing on this is perfect.
Tickets for the all-star benefit go on sale Tues. at either www.tickethorse.com or www.kbco.com. The tickets cost $60, but this is for a very good cause.
