DeVotchKa will be joining Gogol Bordello on the road
Nobody does holiday shows better than DeVotchKa.
The Colorado band was in prime form for last night’s Valentine’s Day show at the Fox Theatre. The show was sold out, and packed with singles and couples that needed their DeVotchKa fix for the romantic holiday.
DeVotchKa definitely knows how to throw a great Valentine’s concert!
The band launched the show with an amazing new material, brought out all their string and horn section friends to accompany select songs — and had these really cool video screens on the left, right and center parts of the stage that featured images that really went well with the emotive tunes. DeVotchKa also touted a colorful, pulsating light show and put on one of its strongest Boulder shows to date.
Word is, the band’s heading into the studio to record new material. If Sunday’s show was any indication, then this is going to be an amazing new record!
And — DeVotchKa will be joining Gogol Bordello on the North American leg of the upcoming Casa Gogol Tour. The Colorado band joins the tour April 18 in Montreal and stays on through May 1.
