Colorado’s DeVotchKa is ready to rock 2011.
The band’s about to release its new record “100 Lovers” and DeVotchKa’s scoring serious gigs. Thursday, the local outfit plays NYC’s famed Carnegie Hall.
DeVotchKa is part of the Neil Young tribute show. The benefit will raise funds to help music and arts programs in schools. That’s a very cool cause.
The all-star line-up at Carnegie Hall also includes The Roots, Patti Smith, Nada Surf, Evan Dando, Aaron Neville, The Wood Brothers, Keller Williams, Jakob Dylan, Glen Hansard, Mason Jennings, Pete Yorn and Ben Ottewell of Gomez.
This will be a very important show for DeVotchKa, and will prime the band for its Saturday Valentine’s concert at the Fillmore.
