3OH!3 could’ve held its official Streets of Gold CD release party any place on the planet, but the Boulder band decided to host the event on its hometown turf.
The electro-pop duo’s new CD came out yesterday and the last night Nathaniel Motte and Sean Foreman held a special laser show/mini concert at the University of Colorado’s very cool Fiske Planetarium.
The night was really about the fans. Motte and Foreman stopped to greet fans and sign autographs before they even stepped into the planetarium. Once inside the duo hosted a laser show featuring new cuts off of Streets of Gold — they truly sounded awesome on Fiske’s super-amped speakers!
Then 3OH!3 performed a short, but energetic set of new songs like “My First Kiss,” thanked the crowds and stuck around to talk with fans and sign more CDs and autographs.
This is one band that truly appreciates its hometown roots and fans — and it showed at the CD release party.
Now, let’s see how far “Streets of Gold” heads up the charts!
