This season's "American Idol" was starting to look a little bleak. OK, it was getting really boring.
Last week, TV fans voted off Colorado's two female contestants. Now the pack's been trimmed down to singers that should be trying out for karaoke nights instead of vying for a record deal.

Lady Gaga's coming to Denver!
Yes, it's true. The new dates for Lady Gaga's Monster Ball tour have been announced -- and Denver made the cut!
This will mark the first time that Lady Gaga's headlining arenas through North America. The tour starts June 28 in Montreal and ends Sept. 19 in Raleigh, NC. Those people are never gonna know [+]

That's why students and locals will be heading over to CU's Glenn Miller Ballroom to catch the free Miramontes Music and Arts Festival concert. The event is being sponsored by the CU Program Council and campus group CEB.

Boulder singer-songwriter Gregory Alan Isakov is going to try something new at tonight's Fox Theatre show.
The local troubadour will be showing off a new musical collective idea at Friday's show. The evening of singer-songwriters will feature Reed Foehl, Clay Rose, Ramaya Soskin and Bela Karoli.

Stephen Malkmus and his band Pavement are resurrecting themselves to play a reunion tour -- and Colorado's on the select list of U.S. tour dates.
It's been awhile since the indie rock band hit the road, so this will be a very special concert for Broomfield's 1stBank Center.

Today, word broke that the Boulder Theater and the Fox Theatre are looking to join forces. The move would combine the forces of Boulder's top two venues and forge them into one powerhouse entertainment entity.
