Times are tight, but Boulder wants to keep music venues alive and well.

Word had been circulating that Boulder’s b.side Lounge was for sale, and b.side Lounge owner Betsy Workman just confirmed the news.  But this savvy club owner is looking for a way to keep music going at the venue’s location.

“We are definitely for sale,” Workman said.  “But, we’re still booked and loving it. We’re going to stay open for now, but we’re trying to find someone that wants to run a mid-size club and keep the music. We’re  keeping the positivity and still rocking it!”

That means The b.side will still be booking and hosting music  — and hopefully make a smooth transition to a new ownership that will keep the music alive in downtown Boulder.

Anybody want to buy a very cool music club?
