Weezer Bus Accident + Band’s Denver Show Scheduled for Jan. 17 at the Fillmore Auditorium is Still a Go

Live Nation says Weezer's Jan. 17 show at the Fillmore is still on

Denver concert promoters  Live Nation just sent out a press release saying that Weezer would be headlining the Filmore Auditorium on Jan. 17.

There was one  little glitch in the works.  Weezer was just involved in a pretty serious bus accident on Sunday (Dec. 6) and it sent frontman Rivers Cuomo into the hospital.

According to the band’s website, the band wasn’t sure how serious the injuries would be. However, today’s update is looking much better. Check out the update on: http://www.weezer.com/blog/default.aspx?nid=23962. The blog says that Cuomo was checking the Internet out today — and that’s a good sign.

Weezer has canned its December run of shows, so I called Live Nation. The promoters  said the Denver show is still a go and tickets  will  still go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. as scheduled

Stay tuned.
