State Radio brings its socially-conscious music to Boulder on Friday

State Radio is one band that wears its heart on its sleeve.

The socially and politically-minded band gears its music around important issues, the band helps out homeless shelters and soup kitchens on the road — and the group operates its own Calling All Crows group that works on goodwill projects.

Oh yeah, this is one damn good alt-rock meets reggae band!

Friday, State Radio headlines the Boulder Theater to show off the rocking tunes from its new CD.

Plus, the band will be hosting a Friday session at CU to raise awareness about the situation in Haiti. The event will take place at 1 p.m. in the UMC Dining area.
