The Avett Brothers sing on the new KBCO Studio C project

Local radio station KBCO is ready to roll out “Studio C: Volume 22.”

The CD goes on sale at 8 a.m. Saturday at all Ultimate Electronic stores, and proceeds benefit the Boulder County AIDS Project. This way, you get to hear great tunes by your favorite artists — and support a good cause.

The new Studio C features an interesting mix of old school and newer acts. Some of this year’s best picks include cuts by Jack Johnson, Phoenix, Broken Bells, Moby, The Avett Brothers and Jay Farrar with Benjamin Gibbard.

The CD also features hot-ticket contemporary acts One eskimO, Ray LaMontagne, Corinne Bailey Rae, O.A.R. and Alpha Rev.

To mix things up, the record also features tunes by veteran artists Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Sarah McLachlan, the Goo Goo Dolls, Martin Sexton and Jakob Dylan.

The limited edition CD only costs $12, but you better get in line early. This record always sells out and it’s a very cool collector’s item
