
Dave Matthews is one of the artists set to play Friday's Hope for Haiti telethon
Top music stars and actors will be joining forces Friday to work on the televised “Hope for Haiti” telethon.
The show will be broadcast from NY, LA, London and Haiti, and it will be televised on all the major networks, plus MTV, VH1, PBS, CNN and Bravo. The show will also be streamed on YouTube, MySpace and AOL.
The star-studded cast of actors and performers include: Dave Matthews, Jay-Z, John Legend, George Clooney, Justin Timberlake, Wyclef Jean, Bono, Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Kid Rock, Shakira and more.
The performers are hoping to raise money to help out Haiti and its earthquake victims. The funds from this event will go toward relief organizations like UNICEF and Oxfam.
As a special perk, music fans will be able to purchase the performances for 99 cents each on iTunes.
