The Dave Matthews Band announces its summer 2010 tour
The Dave Matthews Band just announced its summer tour schedule — and once again Denver’s missing from the tour roster.
The DMB will be touring behind its latest hit CD, ” Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King.” The CD has been nominated for two Grammys and the band will be performing on this Sunday’s Grammy’s show.
The Dave Matthews Band kicks off the tour May 28 in Hartford, CT – and ends the run Sept. 15 in St. Paul, Minnesota. And just like 2009 — Denver’s not on the summer tour list.
On the plus side, the band’s bringing along some interesting acts to open the various legs of the tour. This summer’s DMB openers include Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, The Felice Brothers, Martin Sexton, Amos Lee, Gov’t Mule and Brett Dennen.
And — Colorado’s Yonder Mountain String Band will play two dates with the DMB in Mansfield, MA on June 7-8.
Stay tuned.
