Alec Ounsworth shows off new music from "Mo Beauty" in Denver Saturday
Alec Ounsworth likes to change up his musical sounds, so he’s touring behind two projects.
The Clap Your Hands Say Yeah band leader is now traveling behind his solo work, and he’s bringing a new backup group to Denver’s Larimer Lounge on Saturday.
Ounsworth will showing off tunes from his solo CD, “Mo Beauty” to his Colorado fans. The record was made in New Orleans, and it features the city’s all-star blues and funk players — including former Boulderite Washboard Chaz Leary. The record is a very cool melding of roots and indie sounds.
The musician will also be featuring tunes from his band Flashy Python — and he’ll even be throwing some Clap Your Hands tunes into the Denver concert mix.
